Let’s talk about body contouring

Coming out of quarantine, will we manage to maintain our weight, lose it, or will it be hard to get out of our sweatshirts and pajamas? Let’s talk about body contouring.

September 2020 – This quarantine has taught us many lessons: learning to live under new rules, reinventing ourselves, staying calm, and maintaining hope, even when the outlook isn’t the most optimistic. It’s normal to experience anxiety-related reactions, and one of the most frequent—aside from anger or stress—is cravings or anxiety, leading us to buy things we don’t need. The consequences manifest in our bodies and moods. Generally, when we’re anxious, we channel that anxiety through food throughout the day, and if we can’t sleep, we often end up binge eating at night. We see the results in our weight, especially since for months we’ve put away our office or street clothes in favor of comfortable loungewear—the kind that always fits because it’s loose and allows us to feel comfortable without noticing any extra weight or unwanted curves.

In short, we’ve gained weight all over the place. How do we get out of our pajamas, baggy clothes, or sweatshirts again?

We all know what to do and what not to do; keeping in mind that we must adapt to a comprehensive program that includes eating less and better, exercising to burn calories and avoid anxiety, and, if necessary, seeking aesthetic advice so that, once we resume healthy habits or decide to do so, we can see results as we return to normal life and go out more frequently. Today we have many options for diets, exercises, workouts, and even recreational activities like the very fashionable cycling. In the field of aesthetics, we have individualized treatments for every need, guaranteeing that the patient not only regains their figure, but also, by seeing themselves in the mirror with a better image, internalizes how they want to continue looking and stays on the path to health: eating well, exercising, and looking good to be healthy and have an excellent appearance in the mirror.

It’s definitive and proven; if we feel good about ourselves, we seek to continue enjoying what we achieve and for that to be permanent in our lifestyle and self-esteem.

We’re going to take better care of ourselves!

Therefore, we are going to tell you about two wonderful body contouring treatments that will help us in this process:

Hydrolaser

Hydrolaser is a more modern medical technique than traditional liposculpture. It is an outpatient procedure, as it does not require general anesthesia and carries low risk for the patient. This technique allows us to sculpt the figure by removing subcutaneous fat or adipose tissue from various areas of the body. The modern hydrolaser technique makes the procedure safer, with millimeter-sized incisions, minimal risks due to a reduced possibility of bleeding and infection, and greater definition achieved through increased skin retraction. At our clinic, we use state-of-the-art laser equipment that does not cause burns. It can be performed on the chin, jawline, arms, abdomen, waist, back, hips, inner thighs, and pubic area. Hydrolaser aims to remove unwanted subcutaneous fat from the body, thus achieving a slimmer figure or reducing imperfections in specific areas. Its primary purpose is weight loss, as it is not strictly a treatment for obesity.

Starformer. Gym results without surgery.

This is a state-of-the-art Slovakian device. The Starformer creates supramaximal muscle contractions, producing over 50,000 contractions during the 30-minute treatment. These contractions are deeper, stronger, and more powerful than anything you could achieve with strength or weight training at the gym. It has been analyzed using CT and MRI scans, demonstrating the significant increase in muscle mass it achieves, allowing us to enhance and develop muscle mass in the abdomen, glutes, and legs. It is also highly effective for diastasis recti, the abdominal muscles that become stretched after pregnancy, giving the visual effect of a still-pregnant belly. This is the new solution for abdominal tightening without surgery for postpartum women. The device is part of the Fotona family, available at Medical Solutions in Costa Rica, and is currently the most revolutionary technology in Europe. Costa Rica is the first in Central America to offer it for treatments. CSI presents these two options: its traditional and successful Hydrolaser, with which Dr. Carolina Perez, in her 11 years of experience, has performed over 3,500 successful procedures, and the innovative Starformer, unique in its technology, delivering gym-like results without surgery. For more information: Dr. Carolina Perez, Surgeon. Code: 9550. Dr. Perez holds the following certifications:
