Stretch mark treatment

Stretch marks are grooves or indentations in the skin that appear mostly due to hormonal factors and poor skin hydration. When the skin stretches, the fibers break, resulting in scars known as stretch marks. They frequently appear on the abdomen, breasts, hips, buttocks, and thighs. Treatment can fade stretch marks, but it does not eliminate them completely.

How to prevent stretch marks from appearing?

Unfortunately, stretch marks don’t give us any warning beforehand; one day we suddenly look in the mirror and there they are. These practical tips can help you prevent them:

  • Drink enough water, at least 2 liters a day.
  • Consume foods rich in vitamins A, C, and E.
  • Avoid rapid weight gain and loss.
  • Maintaining good skin hydration, oils and creams can help.
  • Eat a healthy diet, low in carbohydrates and rich in fiber and antioxidants.
  • Massages that stimulate circulation in the area and light exfoliation to help remove dead cells and promote new collagen production.
  • No smoking.
